Buffalo Fluffalo — Bess Kalb

Meet Buffalo Fluffalo: a very fluffy buffalo who likes being the biggest, fluffiest creature around — until a tiny bird comes along and challenges his view of himself! With bouncy rhymes, hilarious moments and wonderfully expressive illustrations by Erin Kraan, this is a story little readers will want to hear again and again.

Why I chose it

I chose this one for little readers who are learning about friendship, confidence and how to treat others.

I love how this funny story opens the door to talking about teasing, being different and how we make others feel. Beneath all the fluff and silliness, there's a lovely opportunity to help children think about kindness and seeing things from someone else's point of view.
