I chose this one for little readers who are learning about confidence, empathy and how we treat others.

I'm a big fan of Jarvis's work, and this book is such a brilliant example of his playful storytelling. Beneath all the crocodile chaos and laugh-out-loud moments, there's a lovely opportunity to talk about bullying, power and what happens when we make other people feel small. It also reminds children that there's often more to someone than meets the eye.
